Background

Liliana worked for Sao Paulo City Attorney’s Office (1993 – 2019), having acted in the administrative and judicial litigation areas, as well as in consulting on urban and environmental law matters, preservation of heritage assets, public procurement and bidding procedures, contracts, government concessions for public works and services, and public-private partnerships. She joined work groups for the drafting of legislative and regulatory proposals on building permit approvals and regularizations; licensing of activities; land use and parceling; mobile telephony; administrative proceedings; inspection and enforcement activities; among others. She was also a member of the Technical Chamber for Urban Legislation Matters (CLTU), the Land Use and Building Committee (CEUSO), and the Municipal Council on Heritage, Cultural and Environment Matters in the City of Sao Paulo (CONPRESP), all of them belonging to the Municipality of Sao Paulo. She earned the Oswaldo Aranha Bandeira de Mello award granted by the Sao Paulo’s City Hall for her legal work in defense of the city’s public interest (2003).
